I have a remote control model # R520T, It was working in the past and now will not work at all. What do I need to do ? Sears told me that they no longer have this unit for sale.

That fan is most likely made by emerson. The model number you supplied is only for the remote and it is hard to tell from that number, if you could get the whole model number off the fan it would be better. With that in mind you can browse here:

to see if one looks similar to yours. The real issue if you want to try and repair it lies in the rubber buttons that you press to operate the fan, Those buttons have carbon impregnated rubber and they oxidize over time and don't make a good connection. Take out the battery and look for screws that hold the unit together, remove the screws and separate the housing. Take the electronic board out and clean the contact side that faces the buttons with alcohol and q-tips. Do the same to the bottom of the buttons. Reassemble it and test it.

The sat button on my remote is rapidly blinking, and now most of the other buttons will not work.

When the SAT button blinks repeatedly, or the buttons do a dance (Sat & DVD, TV & AUX, repeat) it means you need new batteries. Replace all four AAA batteries, ensure they are all four aligned the same way, and then hit SAT. Your remote should return to its normal function. If you leave the batteries out for too long, the remote will forget how to operate the TV and receiver, so be sure to have all four new batteries ready before you remove the old ones.

The power on/off button on the remote control works but the channel & volume buttons no longer work

Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. If it is found OK, check and replace the infrared sensor inside the TV. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It has details about how to check a remote control; by one among the post. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

Some buttons on my remote for my yamaha htr 5750 amp don't work. It's the original and was given to me. The volume and power buttons don't work or make the red lite flash; however the other...

Read this procedure to possibly fix the remote:
They also sell replacement remotes.
Zoom in on the picture of the original remote provided on the site (or look at your own) and get the actual remote model number.

or check eBay: search for "(model of the device or the remote) remote", check the 'include description' box. Usually cheaper than the vendors.

Select & skip forward buttons no longer work on the #2 UHF remote

THis solution depends on your ability to do it yourself.
If you are brave enough you can disassemble your remote and dust the black blisterpads with graphite powder being careful to blow off any residue before reattaching. This will add some life to that old remote, but eventually all things must be replaced. Graphite powder can usually be found at most office supply houses and some Schools. It is usually used to lubricate slide rules.

TV won't take remote control commands

I have the same issue. Obvious thing is to install new batteries. I assume you have done this already. Have you tried using the buttons on the bottom of the monitor to scroll through the main menu using the volume buttons to option 3, and scroll down to IR remote to see if it is selected ON. If it is OFF, select ON with the bottom LEFT or RIGHT buttons. If your remote still does not work, you can try to work it by connecting a 1/8" stereo mini-plug cable into the front end of the remote and the other end to the monitor remote control jack(second from bottom on back panel). Check the IR Remote settings this way. If it still does not work then you have the exact same problem I have... IR and Wired remote inoperative. I am still hoping for a solution but I am afraid there is either a stuck bit in the IR remote circuit or a bad board/chip. Anyone have a solution to this??

Marantz Remote control model RC-18SR

Does the SOURCE ON\OFF button still work? If so, you can still use the remote to turn the receiver on and off by first pressing the AMP button (so that the remote window says AMP) and then pressing the SOURCE ON\OFF button.
