I have a Maytag Neptune clothes dryer, it worked well in the morning. That afternoon when I needed to dry clothes it would not start. I could hear the timer was on, but when I pressed the start button it would not start. I have a Maytag Neptune clothes dryer, it worked well in the morning. I think you are working on the wrong end. Check the fan and inlet ductwork of the dryer, if the air isn't moving properly, it will not move enough to keep the coils and limiters cool and they will fail after working properly a few times.
My dryer stopped working during a cycle last night and won't start again. The light is no longer coming on either. The first thing I checked was the circuit breaker which was fine. Can anyone tell me other possibilities?
What is the anser
Take off the top of the dryer and you will find somewhere near or at the drum a fuse. Try bypassing it first to see if it works. If so, go get one for about $10.00. There may be a wire that has burned off at the connection in the back of the dryer also.
Anra, the problem is in the even heat board under the consol. This is a very easy job. Check out this link. Catriver, post back
