Generally when the oven indicator light is on and the fan forced fan is working it will be a faulty oven element.Check the terminals of the element and if the connections are okay put a set of test lamps or a meter across both terminals. If there is 240 volts across the terminals then this means that the element is faulty.

My zanussi FM9232 fan assisted oven is not heating up, the fan is working

Your oven will not work until the clock/timer has been re-set after replacing an oven element or tripping the electrical supply. Consult your Zanussi manual.
If you're Oven is not getting hot or heating up it could be a faulty element, if the fan in the oven is running and the thermostat light is on, this will lead us to believe that the element has gone faulty. With grills the thermostat light should come on there should be heat, if not then this could be the grill element or the thermostat.
When you turn the oven on, the household electrical supply trips on the Rcd (this is the earth trip in the fuse board sometimes called the breaker tripping) your fan oven element has gone to earth and needs replacing.

You to check the element with a meter to ensure if you are getting a sapply to it, if you are, then the new element is faulty, if no supply, then probably ythe thermostat is faulty, also check for broken or bad conn ections.

The light and fan works but no heat comes on in oven.

This tutorial will show you how to check your Smeg element and how to replace your Smeg cooker element.
Here are the 3 main faults to look for in your oven or cooker that is not heating
  • Your oven will not work until the clock/timer has been re-set after replacing an oven element or tripping the electrical supply. Consult your Smeg manual.
  • If your Oven is not getting hot or heating up it could be a faulty element, if the fan in the oven is running and the thermostat light is on, this will lead us to believe that the element has gone faulty. SMEG SA410X-S heat not coming on for fan forced cooking. The fan and light work, and the heat works fine for grilling.

The fan element (round) is more than likely blown. Open the oven door, take the rear cover off inside the oven (covers the element) and have a look at the element with a torch. If it is buckled, warped or has a blow hole in it, then it's faulty.

Temp display shows 444

If everything on your B1691N0GB oven seems to be working, i.e. all the lights are on and fan comes on in fan oven setting, but there is no heat from fan oven, conventional oven or grill, try turning your oven off at the mains, then turn on again. If the temperature display then shows 444, your oven is locked. To unlock, make sure the central control knob is in the "out" position, then press the fan oven and light buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds or so, until 333 appears on the display. Your oven is now unlocked.
