Check your equalizer settings - or it could be a bad rip from the cd or download site.

When music is downloaded into the mp3 some of the songs play and most don't. I've checked the settings and everything is fine.

it could be because the file format of some of your songs are not supported.

a good rule of thumb is to stick to .mp3 format, and stay shy of the following:

.mp4
.aac
.wav
.wmv

My computer mp3 songs play correctly but when i install this songs on my memory chip its sho bad format error pls help

You didn't said
  • What purpose you using Memory Chip
  • Is this Really MP3 player/Mobile
You May be Using Only Mp3 Format or ANY other Format like Mp4,Wav,etc. And that might be Contrary to your Supporting format of the Device................
Anyway You CAN Do following...
  • Format it With in the Device you are using
  • Re insert it into Card reader if it is MMC
  • And upload the songs to the FOLDER (Try to check if there is created any folder like My songs,My music,Digital,Sounds or any other Names related to Music)
If you Are UNABLE to FORMAT with YOUR DEVICE
  • Connect it to Computer(using Reader)
  • Format it (using FAT file Type)
  • Upload the Songs you Needed...
You Are Done......Enjoyyyyyyyyyy.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Windows Vista Premium. Trying to rip a cd to my computer. Unable to do so. CD plays fine if i play music from the cd itself. Tried Itunes 1st. Rips about 12 secs of audio for each song. Says complete....

maybe the windows has this security issues. coz from my point of view windows vista is dedicated on security. so that's why you cannot rip most of the songs very well.

I want to download music from the 1920's,1930's and 1940's but just selected songs--How is the best way to approach this? Should I copy and save to a folder and then download all at once? I have never...

Go on airmp3.net and download the songs from 0.10 and full albums for $1. And it's legal! You should copy and paste to a folder and copy that to the place you will be playing the music.

All the Songs on Media Player & Music I Download into the Media Player Get Distorted you Can Hear the Backround music & Some of the Chorus Fine but the Lyrics of the song are distorted if you can hear it...

It sounds like you have a problem with what is called "phase cancellation," which is something complicated that happens with audio when the left and right channels get out of sync and cancel out all of the common sound between the two channels. This can happen with bad speakers, a faulty output jack, or just failing to plug in the speakers all the way - it's also used (trivia!) constructively in the studio to create interesting effects on sounds.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phase_cancellation

I don't think that you are actually experiencing a problem with WMP, but with your speakers or possibly your sound card. Here's what to do:

First, while music is playing, check and make sure that the speakers are well connected. Double check where they plug into your computer and ensure that the jack is inserted all the way. If they appear fine, flex the speaker cable a bit near the adapter...if you hear the sound change in any way (not including clicks or pops, really), the problem is most likely a short in your cable. Replacing the cable or speakers if necessary will solve this. If this doesn't help either, turn the speakers off and unplug them.

If you have an iPod or Discman lying around, plug it into the speakers and turn it back on. With music playing does it sound better? If yes, probably your sound card is damaged. These can be replaced very inexpensively. If it still sounds just as bad, your speakers are probably broken. You can try a new cable if it is A) removable and B) you have a replacement or don't mind buying one. Otherwise the speakers will have to be replaced.
