COBY MP3 - C582 does not playback by earphones/headset. No support offered by the manafacturers. Very poor device.

I plug my MP3 into the usb port on my computer and the red light flashes. I rip my music and drag it to the sync line and as soon as I start sync I get an error message that says: "Windows Media Player incountered a problem while synchronizing the file to the device. For additional help click web help." Then it gives me the choices close or web help. I would think it was a problem with my media program except for the fact that all other CD's and MP3's burn with no problem.

I had the same problem, turned out the USB adapter was the problem. I used the adapter for my camera, and the computer recognized the device.

I loaded music on my Sylvania SMPK4083 used it once at home and once at work and now it does not work. The ear piece sounds funky and far away like I'm in a tunnel. I bought new ear pieces and it still...

It sounds like the battery has low voltage. Maybe it requires charging, Some types of batteries will "struggle" on after they are discharged, providing not enough power to properly amplify the music. Give the battery a full charge and try again.

Well i try to plug in my gigaware mp3 8gb video player & my computer can't find the software for it to download in to my window media player

No, mine seems like just a piece of plastic that doesn't react to anything. I have the battery in it, the computer recognizes it, but no music or files it acknowledges. I'm taking it back. How upsetting. I thought I had a new music player, and it's just some piece of worthless plastic connected to my computer until I return it. I got the cheapest, 30.00 one. I don't like it.

get a small paperclip. unwind the outer part so you have a straight piece sticking out at a 90degree angle. insert the end of the straight paperclip into the small hole on the lower right side of the player ~ this is the RESET button. it does not delete any content; it just interrupts power. the only thing you will have to do is reset your TIME settings. this SHOULD work. you don't have to, but you can re-create the 'MicRecord' Music' and 'Playlists' directories on the ROOT of the player. re-copy your music into the MUSIC directory.

Adding music

You cannot go into "My Computer" and open up the Nano drive and just drag and drop files to it. Itunes formats the files with different names as it puts them on the ipod. There are however, other pieces of software to use to sync the ipod with the music you have. A few of the more popular iTunes alternatives are Floola, WinAmp, gtkpod, Banshee, RhythmBox and Amarok.Good Luck.
This is my first solution. Any thoughts?

Go to my computer open the Philips icon till you get to the music file delete it. Unplug the player from the usb cable and then reattach it. It will then show a new music file and 5.7 space available. All of your music will be gone.........but it was gone anyway. Ideally you should go to Philips and download the HDD1630/17b software and firmware and print off the instructions and redo your player. I did and it works great!!!!!
