Upgrade to vista form xp and have no sound

hi there i have no sound now i have update to vista it says need to update driver but wont and i cant even download pack 1 why is it am i running on a low computer that does not surport vista

hi again sorry about this but how do i see on the motherboard what manufacturer it is cause ive had a look and all there is a liitle box im looking for a card and cant see 1 but there is a empty slot should i just go buy a sound card would that work

Under Vista or XP if you go under the System Tools folder from All Programs then Accessories then System Tools it will tell you who made what on your system. There is a free tool that can also scan the system and tell you more it's called Belarc Advisor

Also note you're XP sound driver might work on the Vista box. Check the Manufacturer of your MOBO (motherboard) first. Use the tools above.

You need to get the sound driver from the manufacturer of your computer/ motherboard.
