My old phone broke and i was not able to afford a new phone at full retail price. So i purchased one off of Ebay for 1/3 of the price. It turns out that it is a pay-as-you-go phone. When i took it to a Verizon booth to get it activated and put onto my contract they said it was not able to be done. But the seller one Ebay assures me that it is. Is this really possible and how can i get it working?
When you buy a pre paid phone new they come with a certain number that you must call that is in the hand book it self, but if the phone came with no hand book then it is supposed to display intial programming because you have not programmed it to your local tower or land line. You can easily fix that by dialing *611 or *228.The verizon employee was probably just telling you that on account of most verizon representives or any kind of representives want you to purchase what they offer not what you can bring in for a cheaper price. There is another possiablty that the employee was not aware of of being able to change over the phone because the pre-paid method is a whole different territory then what a sales rep does, the pre-paid sells it self either you like it with no strings attached or not, pre paid for me is the way to go because if i run out i run out, but with a personal account you run out of min's you pay out the A@$. So its all up to the user and if you go pre paid there is a way you can set up your own features over the phone and you can have them take out so much of month from your card for the min's you want so it adds and you use and you dont lose, also there is a cool feature ten bucks a month gets you unlimited text and 250 pic and video texts. When theres two days before your months up verizon pre paid sends you a text you can add or decide to keep more calling min YOUR CHOICE AND WHEN YOU RUN OUT U DONT BANKRUPT OUT. The ebay user is correct in a sense you either have to walk in and the sales rep is having a good sales week or just know somebody on the inside, oh yeah Ive had a Pre paid phone when they first came out from verizon and havnt went back to my personal account sense, THE CHOICE IS YOURS USE WISELY
If the phone has ever been activated as a prepaid phone, the ESN is locked for 6 months, and verizon will not activate it on a postpaid account during that time. I suggest you tell the eBay seller this and try to get your money back. If however the phone has never been activated as a prepaid phone it should work fine, and you might try going to another verizon location (the rep might just want you to buy a new phone and sign another 2 year contract...)
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

You will have to uninstall it from your laptop first because the license key is still in use. So it depends on how you bought the software for the old computer.
Only one one type of MS license is transferable to a new computer. It is
known as a FPP license. Typically you get a FPP license by buying the
Retail (big ugly ecologically insensitive, mind bending) Yellow Plastic
box With the CD in it. You can also get FPP licenses electronically, but
you have to ask for them specifically and pay a little more.
Other MS licenses include:
*MLK (Medialess Key) ie electronic download,
*OEM, preinstalled by manufacturer.
*PKC, Product Key Card
These licenses are typically sold at at discount from the retail price.
You have to figure out what type of license you have.
If you have a FPP license, to transfer it, you simply uninstall it from
the old machine and install it on the new machine. In theory, internet
activation should be automatic, but you may have to phone activation and
explain to the service rep. During install and activation you are given
option of doing internet or phone activation.
So without further investigation you could simply do the uninstall,
install and see what happens. If you have to do the phone activation the
SR will explain to you that the product key does not quality for
Did you keep copies of these so called promises ? Was this in the postage or description details IE: refund only on price of item Postage is usually at buyers expense How did you pay paypal or direct debit if paypal you might open a claim If you have kept any copies of these it will be beneficial
A replacement watch band may cost as little as $10 and a replacement battery may cost as little as $2. However, if you do not have the right tools or do not feel comfortable performing this service by yourself, expect to pay $5-10 to have your battery changed by a professional. Band replacement may or may not be included in the band purchase price. Retail prices for most metal bands are higher than the price for lower-end leather bands, but premium leather bands may cost upwards of $20.
For the most reasonable price, try looking for a watch kiosk at your favorite shopping mall. Some Walmart jewelry counters will also provide this service. A full-service jewelery store should also be able to provide this service, though at a higher price.
ohhh bad deal there one thing verizon has is the early upgrade which if you are one year into your contract you can pay 20.00 plus the two year sale price for any phone of your choice in return for a new two year agreement if you arent that far in yet and have more than a month remaining to get there I would suggest goign to ebay or amazon and buying one at retail price used you can generally get them much cheaper than verizons retail price and they dont require a contract or if you have any friends or family members with old phones they might sell you cheap til you can hit the ine year mark or keep calling if you are about a month away try to get the little rock center and tell them you want to talk to walter complain complain complain and they may go ahead and let you over ride early also if this line was previously an alltel phone number you can go back to your alltel plan and phone at any time on just this line if you like temporarily just a tip the number one feature to always have with cell phones before txt mins anything is insurance ost phones cost avg 400 to 800 retail
I have seached EVERYWHERE on the net for a supplier for a replacement screen- and in eBay but it seems that there is absolutely no source. Even Archos won't supply a replacement screen direct. Their only solution is to send in the broken unit and purchase a replacement unit from them albeit at a cheaper price than a retail store. Their e-mail response is slow (or sometimes non existant). Only other alternatives are 1) to throw it away, forget about this brand completely and go for one that does offer spares or has 3rd party suppliers. or 2) try eBay for someone selling a recently bought item that they decided to dispose of in favour of a better make. I went for 2) because I got one at a better price than Archos and because I had ordered a protective leather case for the one that broke (ironically if the case had turned up quicker I wouldn't have had this problem!) Unfortunately Archos appear to ber uninterested in making parts available direct for from 3rd part suppliers for what seems to be a very common problem with this model. If they did it would cost way less than replacing the whole unit and I don't think it would be a difficult DIY job at all - but they just do not make it available. Full stop
You can purchase a key from Microsoft.com, newegg.com, amazon.com or any local retail store near you. Depending on which you purchase, the price varies. I would recommend Microsoft Office Home and Student addition as it is affordable and has the programs used most such as excel, word, powerpoint.
Physical impact is deadly to cell phones and if there is evidence of impact (cracked case or screen) the damage is considered to be the customer's fault and the phone will probably not be replaced under warranty nor insurance. But, you can call customer service or take it to a retail store to see if anything can be done. The problem is that once the screen is dead, even if you could make calls, it is nearly useless because you can't see your phone book, see caller ID or send/recv text msgs. Depending on the extent of the damage, it may be possible for a store to retrieve your phone book to install it on a new phone, but if you have backup assistance that will not be necessary.
If you are not eligible for a discounted price on a new phone and don't want to pay the full-retail price, you can activate an older phone (yours or one a friend is no longer using) or buy a used phone (eBay or similar sites) to use until you can purchase a new phone at a discounted price.
Strongly suggest you go to Ebay and purchase a used on woth working screens in the end easier and cheeper. Plus you can hold yuor old phone for parts/back up.
Or sell as working wioth bronken front screen to help pay for the new phone.
