No Cable Detected?

I have had my Olevia for almost a year and use it sparingly. It has always worked good unil last week. I turned it on and the screen said no input detected. I deceided to "re-start" the set as if I just bought it. Now I geta message that no channels are selected. I went to the menu to program in the channels and got a message that I could not auto program the st. I went to the manual program and the set could not find any channels.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello,

Is the TV still warranty? If there is warranty then avail it first so that no risk at your side.

If ever there is no warranty at all then you can open your TV back and verify the loss connection connecting your cable. This symptom also cause by TV tuner error and need to be checked personally by a qualified electronic technician.

I would start with looking at the 12 or 15vdc source form the power supply. I would surely look for capacitors with bubbled tops.

Won't always turn on

These olevia tv's were only made to last a few years. the company has gone out of business. they took the money and ran.i also have the same exact problem. the power supply board needs replacing and i can't find one. repair shops want almost 300 to fix but it isn't worth it. thow away or if your lucky enough to find a power board fix it yourself for around 100. i t k mine apart seems easy to fix.

Hoist to lower spare tire does not work.

Same thing happened to me on my 2002 trailblazer. The last few wraps of the cable was corroded to the point that it wouldn't unwind with the tool supplied. First thing to do is cut the crimped end of the cable off with a grinder or cut off wheel but don't forget to support the spare. This will get the spare out of your way then simply take out the 3 mounting bolts for the cable hoist. At this point you could buy a new cable hoist from the dealer and install it yourself or you might be able to do what I did. I managed to pull and remove about a foot of the rusted cable, slide the rectangular metal piece, that actually holds the spare at the center of the wheel, back on the cable and attach a 1/4" cable clamp to the end of the cable which of course must be in good condition. There should still be enough cable to re-attach your spare to it and hoist it back up. Don't forget to lube things up so it won't happen again. Good luck. (buying a new one sounds better, doesn't it?)

Olevia 37 turning off for no particular reason

I suspect that the main power supply is trying to self-destruct; what you describe could be the switching power supply struggling to stay up and running. It isn't the cable company's problem.
FYI: Olevia has declared bankruptcy so you may not be able to get any help from them.

OLEVIA tV is a F#$King JOKE!!!!!.....I bought my tv in Jan and it went out 3 months after that, let me put it to you like this its Oct and i havent got my tv back to this day.

Got a case number and a tracking number that didnt make any sense. The shipping company they used didnt get paid so its been in there storage for 3 months. In some way if you have been waiting for your tv because of the shipping...Olevia is responsible for trans issue and pulling off on the shipping company.

OVERALL
DONT BUY A OLEVIA TV..... YOUR BETTER OFF WITH A LG!!!
