I have a Dimage Minolta

I have a Dimage Minolta X camera and have lost the manual. The shutter release will not work. images appear in the view finder and I can switch back and forth between shooting mode and viewing mode and get good bright images but when I press the shutter release I just get a flashing red indicator light along side of the view finder.
Any suggestions re. the problem or how I can get another users guide?
