I turned on the TV, it strobed lots of colors at me but the menus and stuff were reduced to dancing monochromatic icons. Basically.. everything looked totally jacked with no video showing up and then it shut off leaving the red lamp light on. I thought it was finally time to replace the lamp, so I installed the new one that I bought over a year ago. No change. After resetting the system and unplugging and everything I could think of, if it even came on at all, it would flicker and shut off again. Mitsubishi won't help. They only warranty the lamps for 30 days (wish I had known a year ago). I got a Bravia in the meantime while I research this problem and try to get it repaired.. Any insight would be appreciated.
