Is it a humming noise, or a high pitch noise, and is coming from the speakers or the receiver?

I have an RCA audio/video reciever rt2580 i was messing with the settings and turned the rear speakers off and cannot get them back on ran a test and the channels are not blown there is sound coming...

Try resetting to Factory Default and see if this makes the rear speakers work again. Follow the steps below to do this.

Put the unit in STANDBY mode. Then press the following buttons in order.

1. Stadium
2. Night
3. DSP Off
4. Club

Also check your speaker connections and speaker level settings as suggested by probeboyyjl

Why Is my RCA home theater system making that noise through the speakers it's like a buzzing noise

It sounds like you are getting bleed through from another device...radio, cd player...etc. This is caused by improper grounding. Some where there is a wire not connected correctly or you need to ground the whole system.

When i turn on my rca reciever it says check spaeakers and then it powers off.

your speakers may not be phased right, check if the positive lead is hooked up to the positive on the reciever and the negative on the negative side,if thats all right then a speaker may be shot or the reciever is shot...i had an RCA to do that once.
