You've been infected. This is commonly known as a SmitFraud infection, and can be easily removed using either; 1. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware http://malwarebytes.org 2. SmitFraudFix http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.php

How to fix application error 0xc0000142?

You have a virus and or malware. The anti-virus program you just downloaded and tried to install has just failed to initialize, which means your viruses and malware have blocked you from using it. You should bring it in to a computer shop that specializes in virus and malware removal for a set cost. They should also be able to set you up with a FREE antivirus and anti-malware solution as well so you aren't caught unprotected next time.

Slowing slow and probems keep coming

Hello Nancy,
There are many reasons a computer can slow down. Here are some maintenance procedtures you should do on a regular basis.
You should defrag your hard disk ona regular basis to keep your computer up to speed. Many of these tasks can be automated with the scheduling features in Windows.
Check for and install any operating system updates. Make sure you have "Automatic Updates" turned on.
Run a full system anti-virus and anti-spyware scan. Make sure your anti-virus and anti-spyware software are up to date. If you don't have these on your computer, there are many good free anti-virus software. Do a Google search for free anti-virus and anti-spyware. Also, clear the cache on your browser. Delete all history and cookies and temp folders. There are also websites such as http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ that does free online scans.
You should also stop unwanted progams from stsrting. To do this go to Start menu, enter msconfig, and click OK. Click startup and uncheck startup programs you don't use. Then click services and uncheck services you don't use. If after doing this and something stops working that you need, again bring up startup and services and re-check the ones you want to run.

These basic maintenance steps should help keep your computer running up to speed.
I hope this helps you.

Got virus av guru, how do i remove it?

Hi

I know the last soluation will not have heklped as the av guru stops you from opening anything even IE so here is what u do.

Turn off your Computer!

Re boot and as oon as you get the start box appearing click on it,
Click All Programs
Accesories
System Tools
System Restore

The system will shut down automatically and resotore will start.
Leave this to run select a dtae 24 hours before you got virus and all will be well.

Trust me I had it early this week .

Once done run anti virus software, Spyware, Reg cleaner and Defrag

This will sort it completely.

NOTE:- You do have to be very quick with starting resore OR virus wil stop you opening anything.

Get back to me if u need anything else.

Virus disabled my sound and I can't download any anti virus softw

You Better Format your Drive if not possible then plug it on some other PC (Which got the AntiVirus, with Latest Updates ).
Scan it then, make it clean and go on.
But if your Machine is totally messed up then it will be very difficult for you make it absolutely error free, so the best is to begin again with the antivirus, and keep the Virus Updated.
Regards.

I had the same issue with McAfee but I figured it out. Her it goes... Uninstall your Virus guard and downgrade your Internet browser that you use the most then reinstall your virus guard. In other things, try a different web browser such as "Microsoft Internet Explorer".

Hi Chuck,

You pay for spyware protection whereas it is available for free of charge to download and install for whole life time....
I would advise you to uninstall your existing spyware protection and then install Avira anti virus protection..AVIRA IS A FREE ANTI-VIRUS *** SPYWARE SOFTWARE AND IT IS FREE FOR WHOLE LIFE...
download it from the following link..

http://www.free-av.com/en/download/1/avira_antivir_personal__free_antivirus.html

Good luck ;-)

This is a virus and a pretty bad one. It's capable of disabling your Antivirus and even changing entries in the registry.
Go to "Dogpile.com" and write in how to take out "Antivirus 2009". I had to finally end up reformatting my C drive. But ignore all it's messages as they are bogus. Good Luck...

2009 anti virus program keeps on poping on the computer screen. It's massing up my software.

Hi nhnvk,

Hope you have anti-virus and anti-spyware programs If so, boot your computer to "Safe" mode with networking. Update your anti-virus and anti-spyware programs. Then run the programs either one at a time or simultaneously (tip: run both programs twice). If this does not work, then the next best thing to do is to reformat your hard drive and re-install all your programs. Of course you'll need to back up all your pertinent files.

Good luck and thank you.
