You can download a manual and order a USB cable from the manufacturer's web site at http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=221&modelid=8775
Before you buy another USB cable, consider this: The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.
There are also plenty of photo catalog software packages out there, some free, some not, that can transfer and catalog your pictures so you can quickly find pictures from Susie's birthday party, for example. Just do a google search for "photo catalog software".
I have a Canon PowerShot A720 and have lost the disk to download drivers so I can get the photos off of my camera. Do you have any suggestions. I have tried to find them on the internet with no success. Help Please!!
After downloading is finished, unplug the printer USB and run the
software that you downloaded. The software installer will tell you when
to connect USB.
Some Canon camera may not be Vista compatible and cannot work on Vista.

If posible dowload the drivers/software directly from the Manufacture webside OR
Some times when digital camera have connectivity problems or cant find drivers or software (not compatible) the BEST SOLUTION it's to get a memory card reader, that way you will be able to get your pictures and video to your computer and not only that ... you can even use the camera memory as a USB Flash Memory jejeej XD and transfer info from computer to computer
So my best advice will be to get one ; ) , Exist diferent types and even universal ones that have like ALL-in one readers.
