Help me connect my wireles router to the ps3 plz
The PS3 has issues with some wireless routers and encryption. The internet is littered with people having problems. I have a Linksys WRK54G and while I can connect with no encryption if I set it to WPA the PS3 can no longer connect.
Most people have had to resort to MAC address filtering in order to have their network secured if they are having problems. Shame on Sony!
This is fairly easy.
1. Open network settings
2. Selected wireless and scan
3. When you see your router name click on that.
4. If you have a WEP security code you will need to enter that.
5. You should be finished!!
If you have any more questions, please comment here and I will come back and respond.
I hope this helps! Good luck to you!!

my ps3 will not connect online but i am doing everything right.
cannot connect my ps3 just keeps asking for ip address?
I setup wireless networks, understand how this is supposed to work, and still can't get the PS3 connected. Doing as you suggested, I was able to get an IP, but the internet connection failed. Tried manually assigning an IP, changing my DNS and Default Gateways/etc, to no avail.
