Question about Apple 15" PowerBook G4 Aluminum 1.67 GHz LCD Display (p/n 1002587) (661-3749 1002587) Mac Notebook
If you need a new ribbon cable, you might be able to find a place that specializes in used/refurbed Macs.
Another option is finding parts or parts-machines on eBay. I once bought a TiBook 400MHz with a bad motherboard, because I wanted spare parts (mostly a display) for my 500MHz TiBook - $200 for the parts machine, vs. $500+ for buying a new display elsewhere.
Those ribbon cables are terribly delicate - - wires look like sewing threads, and if they break, you're done - - you're not soldering _those_ back together.
Good luck - - if I can be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it accordingly.
Thanks in-advance for using FixYa.com,
