Good day,

This tip will explain how to remove the write protect from your SD Card.

This is a easy fix and won't take a minute.

First remove your SD Card from your device. You will see on the side of the SD Card that there is a small switch. If your SD Card complains about being write protected simply put the switch in the opposite position. Some of the SD Cards even have the word LOCK on near the switch indicating the direction the switch must be to LOCK the card.



Once the switch is changed you can put the SD Card back into your device and the problem of write protection would be solved.

Memorycard lock
Also be sure you did not press the card in the wrong way around. Check the contacts on both the memory card and in the camera.
Check if the card is still working when placed in an external memory card reader, connected to the PC.

Look for the switch on the left side.
Before you put it in a camera it should be like the card on the left, the 64GB card. Switch up.

My daughter just inserted the memory card the wrong way round in her brand new Canon A495. Now we cannot remove it. Help!
have you tried a small pair of needle nose pliers, or perhaps hemostats? if nothing else you can try and wedge it out with a butter knife or something thin like that. you could try 2, one from each side and try and wedge it out that way.

If your memory card does support you can download with flash player/quicktime any file size to fit the memory to play .
It will be ideal not to use this on a larger scale.
