Fax machine rings but will not recieve faxs (by 2 users)

i recently moved house and brought my fax machine with me but although it sends Fax's it wont receive them is there something i have done wrong ?
i have checked all the settings and they seem to be ok but i am puzzled to why it wont work can you help

My fax is the same, it rings, connects and disables, saying "remote fax error" I too can send fax but its important that I can also recieve them after all thats part of the reason I bought this machine.
