My dell Inspiron 1525 4,5,t,r,f,g,v And d keys are not working. can anyone ... If a group of keys fails it usually means that the keyboard matrix is broken. ... I have a dell vostro 3400, and I can connect to any wifi network, and while ... to it, but they cannot get internet through it (even when my laptop gets it ... but I have no idea how to access the log it should produce... any ideas? .... Is there a reason that youdon't have DHCP enabled. ... Glad you got it working! keyboard some keys not working - General Hardware

You probably need a new keyboard :/
When keys don't work, it usually means that it got liquid on it (which instantly ruins it)

Dont try over it your self, take it to the nearest Dell service centre

Please restart your computer at once. If it doesn't work check the Keyboard cable from your computer. thanks

You can try disabling it and trying again. Or you may need to reinstall outlook

Please go to start - computer - right click - manage - disk management

If your DVD drive is visible - right click - change drive letter paths - change - choose new letter

Is your DVD visible in my computer, if it is repeat the process and change back to previous letter.

If it is not there, reboot the computer and it should show up.

Per the Owner's manual, just press the NumLk button once to toggle the number lock off.
" Unexpected charactersDisable the numeric keypad —
Press <Num Lk> to disable the numeric keypad if numbers are displayed instead of letters. Verify that the numbers lock light is not lit."

The numbers five and six don't seem to work on my letter pad. All other number keys work fine. I have a Dell Inspiron notebook. Does anyone know how I can fix this? HELP!!!!

My dell computer doesnt recognize when i press the letters on my keyboard, unless i hold down each letter down for 2 seconds,then it shows the letter one at a time, etc... I changed the keyboard, bought a new one with a usb interface, same thing. Tryed new drivers, etc...

basically the problem that you are having is a no P.O.S.T (power on self test ) issue or to make it clear the computer is having some problems turning on. Now, how is the capslock light related to the problem? For dell portables it uses Numlock, capslock and scroll lock key as diagnostic indicators as well. based on your discription, the off-flashing-off combination means that there is something wrong with the main board on your computer. and the badnews is the part costs a lot. you'd probably end up paying $400.00 for the parts and repair.
