Dear,
its can be ur vga cable fault, the cable that connects the monitor to Vga of cpu... so check ur cable..if faulty then repair or change it..
2ndry, it can be the fault of guns of monitor..if u can handle but it requires a lot of care to open the monitor and there are some variables of control the RGB guns... but do it only in the case, if ur expert of repair and handling of tv, monitors, or the best is to check it by an expert...dont handle it in untarined condition..but monitor picture tube contains thousands of volt even in off condition.

My Acer moniter (P244w) has recently begun to show different colors (red, blue, etc) print. Is it the moniter or something that I can correct on my PC?

This could be a result of multiple different variables. If its a CRT monitor, it could be magnetic interference that is causing it. On an LCD screen, it could be your video signal. Check the cables and make sure they are plugged in tight. Check to make sure there are no power lines or magnets around the monitor as well. Turn off any lighting in the area and see if that affects the monitor. Also you can test the monitor on a different computer to see if you get similar issues. If so, then you may need to replace the monitor or it's cable.

NOTHING IS RUNNING EXCEPT A LIGHT NEAR THE LAN PLUG-IN. iS IT MY HARD DRIVE ? IT HAS A VISTA O.S. RIGHT BEFORE THIS HAPPENED IT WAS EXTREMEMLY SLOW. tHEN MY MONITER WOULDN'T READ A SIGNAL JUST DID COLOR...

The light near in the lan is a LAN light which is detect your internal modem. I suggest you formet your system and reinstall your OS and all. some file are corrupted thats why u didt get any display. OR a chances of monitor damaged. But if you want to test that then unplug it from your CPU and just turn on your monitor. if there signal showing in screen then your moniter is ok. if not then your monitor have problem. for assistent call 00919831471900

Blue green screen on my desktop. Autofocus on my desktop doesn't work.

Where did you try to adjust the color?  In display properties, or on the monitor controls?  Make sure both have green at a normal level.  Then, make sure your cabling is OK.  Then, try a different video source for the monitor and see if that fixes it; if it doesn't, you get to repair the monitor.  If it does, you can just reinstall the video drivers on the PC.

ONLY STREAKS OF COLORS when TURNING ON!

the problem is the update you downloaded someone mixed with your graphic chip.. causeing it to only display dots and lines. the hp logo with the back round is the start up page. here are 2 ideas you might wanna try.

1. if your graphics car is in a AGP or PCI, pull it out and try useing the default card build in the computer.. if it is the default go out and bye a cheap graphics card and see if that works.. if not return it and get your money back.

2. try useing a diffrent moniter.. your moniter might of blown out. if that still dont fix it you might need to contact HP or the moniters manufactuer.

hope this helped!

RESETTING DRIVERS with new Video CARD- Start the computer in SAFE MODE (Hold Shift F5 when restarting PC) Go to Control Panel> System>Hardware>Devices - Remove the Old Card Driver (under Video) Press OK (and then Exit) Put the Driver disk in PC - Restart Normally Option 1 When your system reboots it will be in 640x480 16 color mode ignore any prompts. Run Setup from the CD/drivers disk Reboot Windows restarts with corrected drivers Set the Screen Resolution to your choice typically 1024x768 Option 2 When your system reboots it will be in 640x480 16 color mode When your are prompted for the drivers BROWSE the CD/drivers disk- (usually \drivers folder) Select your card from the Mfg list Press OK, OK Reboot Windows restarts with corrected drivers Set the Screen Resolution to your choice typically 1024x768 **Note - there is no shortcut you have to reboot when prompted, especially in safemode.
