Question about Whirlpool Washing Machines

1 Answer

Whirlpool ultimate care/quite wash II washer........ the tub fills, but it will not automatically go on into the agitation cycle. At first, we were able to push on the left side of the lid to get it to agitate, but now even that doesn't work.

Does this proceed to drain cycle or not?

this is a possible door latch problem.

    get that switch replaced.

There is a switch inside that
    completes
the connection. Your washer may not spin or agitate if this connection
    is not completed.

If you hear a humming sound when the washer
is full of water, you may have something stuck in the drain pump.

If one of these is not the problem, check the belt. and get back to me here.

    i will help you further.

    thank you

    have a great day

Will not spin on any rinse cycle

Hi, This washer does not have a belt. While the washer is agitating, if you lift the lid will it stop? Some models will agitate but not spin if the lid is up. It sounds to me like the lid switch might be going bad.
If you will get me a model #, I can look this up for you and give you a better idea.

Whirlpool ultimate care II stops during cycle

THe most likely cause for this is either the lid switch or the timer itself sticking.
