Question about Audio & Video Receivers

1 Answer

I`ve set up my philips digital terrestrial receiver DTR220 and i`ve scanned for all channels, but i can`t pick up any because my aerial is not picking up any signal. I`ve tried different, stronger aerials but they still don`t work. I`ve also tested the digi box on another tv and it works fine, could it be the fact my tv is above the main tele downstairs and somehow interferring with the signal im trying to pick up? Please help! thanks

I actually moved my tele to the other side of the room to see if it would work in a different spot and it took me ages to get some signal by moving my aerial around. The signal still wasn`t strong and i didn`t have alot of the channels and then i turned it on a few weeks after and it was working perfectly. Don`t ask me why! :s

Turn on your Bluedio DT120s. Then make sure your devices Bluetooth is activated. If so,make sure they are paired. To do so
have your source device, phone etc search for Bluetooth devices it should see your Bludio. and say "connect" click yes.Once the devices are paired you should be able to receive as expected

firstly be more helpfull on the type of box you have if you have loaded the latest firmware or not is it a cable box terrestrial box or sattelite box this info is most helpfull when trying to answer these questions step 1 you must first down load the latest firmware for the box you have if you download the wrong firmware you will corrupt the box or what they term as brick it step 2 after you have down loaded the firmware connect the box to your tv set and aerial/cable/dish these are connected with what are commonly known as F fittings step 3 scan your box you should have a manuall to explain how to do this for the box you are useing step 4 after you have completed the scan you must turn the emu on .on the box you are scanning step5 example if it is the boxT you scanned go to menu press 1570 this then opens a hidden menu on the very bottom you will see key emu left or right press on the > < to turn the emu on after you turn the emu on press exit exit back to main screen you should at this stage have everything working if not redo step 2 on again HINT if you cannot access the hidden menu then you have not installed the latest firmware you cannot access the emu without the firmware been loaded first right hopefully you have all this done and you have your channels happy viewing last hints for you BOX T access code is 1570 .. EUROVOX access code is 1969 ...DIGIVOX code is 1004 now hope this helps

My 22 lcd gives good picture but no sound.I've tried connecting an externel head phone but i don't hear any sound.

you're best bet is, depending on your TV's input/output, is to run your video components directly to TV via HDMI, component, etc., of course component requires additional sound cables, then run your sound out from TV via, best, digital optical, to reciever. You use the TV's menu to choose what you watch and, only have the one audio out. Scan your recievers menu to make sure you've got the right channel to listen to.

My Phillips HTS3520 plays DVDs fine and the sound is excellent. However, it is not playing the TV channels thorugh the theatre system.

Without more data, I can only make some general suggestions.

First: Check your cables. If you are using a converter box, there must be a set of audio and video cables going from the cable box to the Home Theatre unit. These will be a yellow/white/red set of cables. Second: If these cables are plugged into "AUX1" or "AUX2" make sure this is what reads on the front of the HT unit. You already have cables going from the HT to the TV because your DVD works.

Although this sounds obvious (please forgive me-I am not underestimating you) IF your TV receiver is 6 years old or more, and you are NOT using cable or satellite, there will be nothing for your set to pick up since the conversion from analog to digital.

I can't get my back speakers on when I'm watching TV in HDMI. I have a new TX-SR608

What is feeding the video/audio signals to your Onkyo receiver? Are you getting your input from a satellite receiver or cable set top box? Or are you just using you TV with a coax feed from a terrestrial aerial?

You need a receiver that will decode Dolby 5.1 or 7.1 if you want to use surround sound. If you are using your TV as the reveiver and it has that capability then the problem is probably the type of HDMI cable you are using. You need a cable that has 'audio return' - in other words it will feed the digital audio (from your TV receiver) to the Onkyo box. Some HDMI cables do not include 'audio return'.
Check what type of HDMI cable you have.

If you respond with answers to these questions I will be glad to provide more assistance.

Problems on the freeview 21inch Tv Teknica from Tesco was working when we bought it 2 years ago cannot get all the channels and poor reception re installed channels many many times but does not maintain...

Hi,
you may want to try changing the coaxial aerial cable that feeds the tv, these can go faulty. also if you are running a series of tvs off one aerial, you should be using an aerial booster, other wise you will get a signal drop (as displayed on your tv).
If these small things don't cure it, the set requires replaceing as the tuning card is knackered
