The fan, and light do not work. We have a remote control. I checked the power, and the power is reaching the fan, but no response from the fan what so ever.
I went to Home Depot, and they sold me a replacement remote and reciever for the fan. Then when I got home the replacement looked totally different from the original. the original was cylinder shaped with a connecting adaptor. The adaptor is box shaped with 9 sections. 7 of those sections had what looked like connectors in them. The replacement part had no box just wires that had been stripped at the end?
I wondering if I have the correct replacement part or not. The Model # on the original was UC7051R, with a serial number of 2001-148932.
Thanks for your help with this,
Mike

I have the same problem. My living room has Hampton Bay remote control ceiling fan and lights. All of a sudden it stopped working. There is power coming to the fan outlet but nothing is happening. The fan does not have a pull chain or switch. Any idea how I could diagnose the problem? Thank you.
