Question about Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
I don't know my sound card model. no sound is coming out of my pc, and i think it may have to do with driver for the sound card... please help me try to detetc the model of my sound card. our pc is a generic brand so i am unable to get support for it :( i would also really appreciate it if you would be able to give me a resource site where i could find a driver for the sound card, or at least a site that could help me detect what the problem is. thanks you very much in advance :)

The easiest way is to open the case and find the sound card, there should be a sticker on it telling you what type of card it is. Sound cards do not usually get plug and play detected.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
