1. If this is a Prepaid sim, make sure your wife has enough load on the sim. Sometimes, even if you still have a few loads left, these networks does not process the text message especially for roaming sims. So let your wife load a new prepaid card.
2. Make sure your wife's phone is configured with the correct SMS Message Center. Ask Optus about it and have your wife double check on her phone's Message center setting.
3. If this is a postpaid, and that your phone can still call you from India to Australia, and that the suggestion in no. 2 was checked, then by all means, the problem is with Optus, considering that SMS sending was working days ago with your wife.
Please let me know if this helps. Thank you for using FixYa.
Issue is not with your phone.. Your wife's phone or network might have a problem.. Wat about the msgs sent to others from your wife's phone.. Check the message centre number in your wife's phone.. If it's correct(Find it from the network provider) remove it and restart the phone. Or try entering the same message centre number. (No proofs, but stillthis cliche works... Try restarting the phone, remove the sim and insert it properly again.. Use a different sim in your wife's phone, send a few msgs, check it works.. then try sending msgs from your wife's sim from her phone).. Reply back if it works...
if there's over 200 messages in your inbox and you have a new message it won't show you until you've deleted your inbox. as for the other problem i haven't had that yet sorry.
Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
Sir, you don't need to worry at all, because this is not any issue with your Cell-Phone, but with the Service Providers, All you need is to call your Service Providers and tell them your query.
They will check on their side, if there is some system error, regarding your connection.
I hope you have a clear picture now, Regards, Waqar.
You need to call your service provider. The issue probably lies in the HLR settings, which the provider can access. This is the system that looks at you account to see if you have the rights to send/receive text. If these settings are off, it will cause this issue.
Go into a new text message and hit the "send to" option.Scroll down to the first name above the line and hit the "options" button.Scroll down and select "Recent messages" and choose whoever from that list that you'd like to be your top 3.I actually just sent all three of mine a blank text, but when I went back to the "send to" list voila!MORE INFO:I tried all kinds of things to remove names from my top three recipients list. What ended up working was to send a text to multiple recipients at once. Two was enough. But it was important who I selected first. I sent a message to my wife and my friend. My wife's name got added back to my top three! Then I reversed and sent a message to my friend and to my wife. His name got added back!
