Unfortunately no you can not. The drive in this model is a DVD+RW Model and that is not capable of reading disks. Now if you were to get this disk onto a computer that does have a Blu-Ray player and were to copy the movie from that blu-ray and back it up to a standard DVD-R then yes you would be able to.

My laptop has blu-ray but wont play it keep asking

That laptop, the original specs show that it does not have a blu-ray drive in it. Unless somedbody took the original drive out and put a blu-ray drive in the laptop, then it won't play blu-ray's.

How to play blue-ray in a aspire 5536?

Your dvd drive has to be capable of reading blu-ray discs. You'll know cause it will have the blu-ray logo on the front of the drive.You will also need a blu-ray software player as well.Here is a link to a forum that I found thru google that compares 4 different blu-ray software players:http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=72239This should help you figure out what software you want to use.
