Question about Washing Machines

Fisher & Paykel GW712 error code 37

The drain pump stops working on the last spin cycle which stops the complete cycle progress. ie. tub full of water & no last spin.
Found Code 37 indicating a pump problem due to overtemp. Replaced the pump and problem solved. However, checked the code again periodically over the next 4 days and it didn't go away or reset. Should these codes reset or should I clear it? How would I clear it? Machine was working fine, but now has returned back to the original problem. Pump Coil is hot to touch when it stops operating and approx 36ohms. Replaced with the original pump which was cold and 25ohms and the machine worked again(code still present). Pump wire connections are all good(white, brown & green). Not sure if the pump motor stops itself with a built in switch or the "controller" senses an excessive amp draw and cuts the power to the pump? Where to from here?

Ultimatly replaced the new pump with a "genuine" pump from F&P which fixed the problem permenantly. Interesting is that all the id tag details of the pump manufacturer were exactly the same on both "new" pumps. The only noticable difference was the impleller design which could have possibly been overloading the "generic" pump, causing it to cut out. One final note; it takes eight complete load cycles to be completed after a fault code has been repaired before the code resets.

How do you ascertain if its drain pump or faulty controller board causing a fault 37 on a gw612?

Read the answer in the link below first, but in your case it can also be a faulty or blocked diverter valve. If you are good with a multimeter check the resistance of the pump windings. It should read around 33 ohms. It is not uncommon for the pumps to cook themselves and you can smell and see the burned out motor. I hope this is of some help

Washing machine won't spin in the spin cycle. The model # is GWL11US the serial # is EYN654081 I tried to get the date of purchase and couldn't ascertain that info. CAN YOU HELP!

check that ALL of the water has been pumped out you could have a partally blocked drain pump causing the water level pressure switch not to be satisfied that the tub is completly drained. If tub is NOT completly drained it wont spin but it will usually give you an error code try drain spin to see if that works draining it a second time

F&P washer lights on and beeps

Clogged pump stopped up drain. If the washer does not think all water was pumped out in 8 minutes then it shuts down. Slow drain is my first inclination.

Fisher & Paykel washer GW712 won't spin

There is an issue with your drainage area. Best to remove the pump and check for the obstruction in the line or at the impellar.(If the water is not completely drained, the pressure switch wont send a low level to the timer to allow a spin).

Stops before rinse cycle... won't drain or spin.

The REGULAR CYCLE button turns the drain pump on or off. The REGULAR LED will turn
on when the pump is on. This feature can be used to drain the tub. You could get a bucket and lay the hose on the fllor. Gravity will drain it down.

Frigidaire GLTF2940ES3 washer cycles/controls out of whack since replaced main control board -- is there a compatibility problem with our 11 year old washer? Bought washer in 2007, Frigidaire GLTF2940ES3. Stopped working, got error code suggesting problem with main control board, so replaced it with new, part# 137006000. Didn't fix problem, got new error code suggesting problem with speed control board. Replaced that with new, part# 134743500. Now washer works at least, all the cycles we've tried do something plausible, but the controls and cycles are out of whack. For example, when I set the dial to normal, it used to show 52 minutes in the display, now it shows 28 minutes. When I set the dial to heavy, it used to show 56 minutes in the display, now it shows 52 minutes. Did they rearrange the dial since 2007? If so, is there a key we can use to translate new dial labels to old dial labels? It seemed like there was only one way to assemble the knob and dial, so I don't think I put it together with the dial in the wrong position. Or is this a common failure indicating that the new main control board is defective? Easy to imagine a defective control board causing one or more cycles or controls not to work; hard to imagine a defect that results in the case we have, i.e. everything working, but cycles scrambled. Our laundry room is tiny and we've got the dryer stacked on top of the washer, so it's a major hassle to get at the main control board major hassle like can't get into the refrigerator or use the back door of the house while the laundry machines are un-stacked. Otherwise I would swap the old one back in and see what happened. Any thoughts or suggestions welcome! Thank you.
