Remove software and see if Vista will see it on its own.
This is a compatability problem
Reinstall softwarte and go to Start/Programs/accessories/system tools/compatability Wizard/ reset the computer to XP or 98

Sdxc drive can't read

The memory card was subjected to an electrical disturbance of sorts. These cards are sensitive to static charge and can loose the data on the chip and/or destroy the original format.
In many cases, these cards can be damaged by misuse and handling. If possible, reformat and se if it will work again. Best to use it in a computer and format from there.

When insert maxell maxdata 4 gb memory card camera says card read error

The A402 works with MMC and SD cards. Your 4GB card is an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it's electronically incompatible and won't work with the camera. You need to use an SD card, 2GB or smaller.

My nikon 775 just won't start even after i put in a new battery (i thought it was a battery problem). any clues on what i should do before i retire if permanently?

Hi

The Nikon Coolpix 775 can be powered using a EN-EL1 rechargeable battery or a disposable 2CR5 type battery (Panasonic, Duracell, Maxell etc). If you are trying to use an EN-EL1 you may want to try using a 2CR5 - this would prove if the battery charger you are using to charge the EN-EL1 battery is working correctly.

You can also try and check if the contacts inside the battery compartment are clean - the camera is quite old and there will normally be some dirt deposits after that length of time.

Hope this helps.

Can i use lithium plus 2900mAh rechargeable batteries instead of maxell 2700 mAh rechargeable ones?

Absolutely. The higher number just indicates that the batteries will last longer.

Install aiptek PocketCam 1.3 in vista

The following drivers are supposed to work on Vista, they are not from manufacturer.
If this driver does not work on Vista, then the camera is not Vista compatible:

New memory card will not work

this camera is actually really compatible with the 2gb sd card, anything higher will give you that message. since you have the right kind but still won't work - 2 possibilities:

camera memory ready issue > repair necessary
defective card> try another one
