Hi,
I have an Indesit D63 that just stops mid cycle.
I am aware of the sump problem with this model and tip the washer back to drain it every 4-5 months or so.
However it has now stopped running mid-cycle, somewhere between 1 and 2 on the cycle knob thing. If I manually turn the knob it does click into the next section of the cycle and it sounds like it's working, then it pauses until I click it into the next number.
I have looked at a few troubleshooting sites and one recommended setting the spray arms to 12o'clock. I have done this and manually turned the knob through the cycle. By the time I get to the end and open the door the spray arms haven't moved at all. The bottom of the dishwasher is wet but the sides and top are dry.
The water supply coming in from the mains is fine. I assume the water isn't getting to the spray arms but other than that I don't know how to check if this is the case or not, or even how to fix it if that is the problem!
Please help,
Barnaby

Warning!
To avoid personal injury or even death, always disconnect your
appliance from its power source--that is, unplug it or break the
connection at the circuit breaker or fuse box--before you do any
troubleshooting or repair work on your appliance. Also, because some
components may have sharp edges, use caution while working on your
appliance.
There's an error code on the digital display
It doesn't work at all
It cleans poorly
There's no water entering the machine
The water doesn't drain from the machine
It's noisy
It leaks
The dry cycle has problems
The door has problems
The cycle doesn't complete
I see an error code
The detergent cup doesn't open
The cycle times are too long
The timer is common problem of this kind of trouble.
Before testing the timer motor, unplug the
dishwasher or shut off the power at the fuse box or breaker panel to avoid an
electrical shock hazard.
The timer motor regulates the length of time
power is routed to each component. If the timer motor does not function
properly, it can result in a wide range of problems. Common symptoms include
sticking in a cycle, cycle times running too long, or failure of the dishwasher
to start at all.
To service the timer motor, it is necessary
to access the control panel in the door. Access varies by model; on some models
you can remove just the control panel on others you must remove the interior or
exterior panel of the door.

Thanks for your reply, based on the information you provided links to, it sounds like it's either a water heating cycle or a timer issue then. How do I find out which it is?
Thanks,
Barnaby
