How do I get my product number that Microsoft keeps asking for?


They're asking you for a Product ID, this can be found under My Computer:

Left Click on Start
Right Click on Computer
Left Click on Properties
Whether you have Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7, your Product ID will appear in this window under "Registered To" or "Product Activation". Keep in mind that Microsoft covers Technical Support under a one-year warranty. After this time has passed, Microsoft will charge you for Technical Support. Also, if your Product Key consists of the letters "OEM", you will need to contact your computer's manufacturer for technical assistance.

It means that not all contacts are working.
1. Try this first - unplug the printer for a minute from the power supply and then replug.
2. Make sure you have removed ALL packaging materials from the printer. Details can be found here
3. Try to reseat the ink cartridge. Details here.
