Problem for Philips Magnavox 27MS343S 27" TV
MAGNAVOX mODEL 27ms3404/17 shuts down
mAGNAVOX mODEL 27ms3404/17 shuts down after after a few seconds.
Mine does the same thing!
My TV tube turns black after sew seconds. The green light stays on saying that the power is on. If you change tha channel up or down the picture will return on the next channel only for a second, then gome again,

- i have a phillip magnacox tv and when i press the power button, it clicks and do not come on at all. two days ago, i had to press and hold down the power ket to get a picture. this is a vexing problem and i need help. tv just clicks and then cuts off.andrew- Guest

- I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY MAGNAVOX TV.MODEL NUMBER 27MS3404/17
WHEN I TURN THE TV ON IT TAKES FOREVER TO COME ON. I HAVE TO KEEP PUSHING THE UP and DOWN BUTTONS TOGET THE PICTURE TO FINALLY TUNE IN. WHEN THE TV IS OFF LONGER IT TAKES FOREVER TO GET BACK ON. SOMETIMES IT TAKES AN HOUR TO TUNE IN. ONCE ON IT SHOWS PRETTY CLEARLY, EXCEPT THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE SCREEN IS A LITTLE WAVY. IT STAYS ON FOR AWHILE AND THEN IT JUST BLINKS AND GOES OFF! I THEN HAVE TO START THE PROCESS ALL OVER AGAIN!

first place to start on this chasss is with a known failure in the horizontal circuit. there is a capacitor 2455 and 2 transistors locations 7461 and 7463 that have caused a wide variety of failures. i would recommend replacing these components before proceeding as they could be the whole of the problem.
