Sansa c240 storage memory reduction

i have sansa c240 mp3/FM player.. although its of 1GB capacity but all of sudden its capacity has reduced to 150 MB only .. whenever i try putting in more than 150 MB of data (songs, pics etc) it shows message that its memory is full.. kindly help
