Well that is kind of a far off question. Do you want to know the best processor on the market or the best processor for your motherboard?
The best one I would say for your motherboard (LGA775) would be Intel Core 2 Quad or Intel Core 2 Extreme (The extreme is just an unlocked and overclocked Core 2 Quad)
The best Processor on the market however would be on the LGA 1366 and LGA 1155 Sockets as teh Intel Core I7.
Sorry before when I posted I didnt space the way I should have to seperate the information, for your socket type the best one you can get is the Intel Core 2 Quad.
OR if you want to spend the big money you can get the Intel Core 2 Extreme
are these cpus compatible ????
are these cpus compatible
Yes these CPU's are compatible with your Socket, I appologize if I was not forward enough with this information and will try harder in the future to answer in more detail. To ensure the compatibility and that your PC can supply enough power though, I would recommend getting either an Intel Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad and leave out the Core 2 Extreme.
ok, just take a look at this and give me your final desision
thanks.
Your motherboard can handle any processor up to Intel Core 2 Quad 9550, how much money you want to spend is the only other question. I would recommend looking on www.ncix.com, www.tigerdirect.com or www.newegg.com and compare prices on Intel Core 2 Quad for Socket 775 to see what one fits within your price range. The Socket 775 can handle any Intel Core 2 processor, But try to avoid the Intel Core 2 Extreme, anything else is fair game.
thank you so much, sorry for my informal language.. :-)

Drivers?
Always
get your drivers and specific software from the manufacturer of your
Laptop, Notebook or Desktop. They are usually free of charge.
If you were to log on to the
manufacturer's
web
site,
usually one is able to download if available, by model
number,
All
available Driver
downloads
as required.
If the driver is not
available, perhaps your manufacturer does not support the OS you are
installing.
This is the best way of ensuring up to
date drivers for your system and they are free of charge!
I hope this helps.
