Re: downloading shader 1.1
Yes it is possible, but you should give a little detail... what hardware are you using and what OS and of course what exact version are you looking for, cuz just "shader"... there are many programs which have "shader" on their names... for example Pixel Shader...
please be a little more specific and I will try to guide you.

Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "SonySupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Download and install the drivers.
Pixel Shader is a hardware capability. Therefore, it is not possible to download it - it must be supported by the graphics card.
The following cards support Shader Model 1.x:
- ATI Radeon 85xx Series (1.4)
- ATI Radeon 9000 Series (1.4)
- ATI Radeon 9100 Series (1.4)
- ATI Radeon 92xx Series (1.4)
- NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti (1.1)
- NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti (1.3)
Sorry you're going to have to upgrade your video card or return the software...
Im afraid this means your graphics card does not have pixel shader support- if you have a good processor speed download a pixel shader emulator otherwise you will need a new graphicscard that supports pixel shaders version 3

You may have to install or update drivers Most of the
drivers/software I get are from a web site driverguide.com you need to fill out
a free registration then search for the driver you need download it in a format
you can use install it and then most times reboot the computer
This is just a rough guide, as it all depends on the the games your looking to play, but this is about normal to get games running without problems :
MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Microsoft(r) Windows(r) XP Service Pack 2, Vista • 1.8 GHz processor • 512 MB RAM • 8 GB available hard drive space • 128 MB video RAM or greater, with DirectX 9 Vertex Shader / Pixel Shader 2.0 support • Sound card, speakers or headphones • 56.6 Kbps Internet connection required.
RECOMMENDED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: 3.0 GHz Intel or equivalent AMD processor or better • 1 GB RAM or better • 10 GB available hard drive space • 256 MB video RAM, with DirectX 9 Vertex Shader / Pixel Shader 2.0 support (Nvidia 6800 or better) • Internet connection with Cable/DSL speeds Note: recommended specifications provide optimal experience for single player and up to 4 player/medium size map multiplayer.
Unfortunately, it sounds like you will need a new graphics card to run that game. Pixel shaders are built into the graphic card hardware and there is no way to download or install them. According to the games system requirements you need a 100% compatible Directx 9.0C card. If you post the make and model of your computer(or motherboard) I could recommend a card for you.
