It seems that it's about to "die".
So, my recommendation is that you buy another flash-drive,
and copy all the files from "old" to "new",
and then take a hammer to destroy the old drive (and the data on it).

Writeprotected

Plug the flash drive in your computer.
Then go to the Cmd Prompt, RunAs Administrator,

Then type Diskpart >
To list all the available Disks, type List Disks. You will see all the drives listed with a number ID. So the flashdrive might be Disk 3, or whatever.

Now type Select Disk # (whatever the flashdrive # is)

Now type Attributes clear readonly.

Now type Exit, to leave the diskpart applet

That should do it.

I cant remove write protective from my flash drive

Is there a slider type of switch that can be moved to the "unlocked" position? Or, how old is it? After a lot of usage, it becomes impossible to "write" to it, and so it becomes "read-only".
At 4GB in size, it only costs about $4 to replace it.

Pen drives are virus protected by the OS as an extra hard drive, and part of the system. It will not work if you install programs there. The install files will become just useless files.

The file system has become corrupt and unreadable, or at least a section of it. If you can't reformat it then it's likely dying or dead. At least you should be able to recover some of your data however...

To restore the flash driveyou need to format the flash drive, but you will lose the data stored on theflash drive.
If you need the data on the flash drive these WEB sites may help: -

How do you transfer a document?

Think of your flash drive as a removable harddrive. When you plug it in to your computer, it becomes a drive on that system, much like your harddrive is C: and your CD or DVD may be E:.

Simply copy and paste the document file from where it is to where you want it <Computer to flashdrive, or Flashdrive to computer>.

run a check disk on the memory stick - most likely a good indicator that the flash drive is on its way out as they normally have a life span of about a year or two.
