Ok i lost my cd that has my software for my philips mp3 (4gb) and we got a new computer and whenever i plug my mp3 in and try to sync it says that theres no device conected to the computer what do i do ? ? ? ?

Definitely run the installation CD - you can grab the software and manual from Philips website if you have lost it.
Not all GoGear's are created equal - some recognize DRM-protected songs - others do not; some use Windows Media Player 10, some use Windows Media Player 11, and some can only use Windows Explorer - check manual for details - with Philips players, every word is important
