I once had a what you might call beating sound, and that was when I'd plugged in the DC power chord at the back the wrong way round! On my unit, the side of the connector where it says "DC Power" must be up. If you look closely you'll also see that two of the pins (or rather the plastic around them) have a different shape; same for two corners of the receptacle in the unit. These must match.

If the case is not cracked it should be fine. There is a chemical in the capacitor that could leak out if the case and cause it not to work correctly.

My ipod is not yet charged even if i charged for 2 days

ipod batteries have only a certain amount of charges before they need to be replaced

however if you cant remove or replace the battery try wrapping it tight in a piece of newspaper the in watertight plastic bag lets say a plastic sealed sandwitch bage place in the freezer overnight then remove it let it thaw for
2 - 4hrs then charge it

making absolutely sure no moisture gets in to it

hope it helps

Hello I have a LG Microwave/grill/convention oven. I caught my bracelet on the bottom lug thing that is attached to the door and now the microwave runs all the time? Please help is this something i can...

Sounds like part of the peg broke off and is left inside the recepter slot area where the sensor switch is. If it is the lower door plastic hook thing (inside bottom) that broke off, it is possible to re-attatch it to the door if you save the broken piece. Drill a small hole the size of a small wire or nail you have lying around to make a splint - Cut the nail or wire to about 1/2" to use it as a hidden "bone" or skeletal support inside the broken plastic. Glue the nail half way into the broken plastic using modelers glue. Closely align the nail peg to where the plastic broke off and mark it for drilling. Drill carefully making sure you are centered so that your wire "bone" will allow proper alignment of your plastic. Insert the pinned piece into the newly drilled hole checking for alignment, if it looks close enough you can glue it in place and you should have a strong enough repair. Dangerous to use a wooden peg to fool the internal switch. As it will be running even when the door is open and you don't want to get zapped.

The glass turntable broke in 3 pieces this morning while cooking bacon. The bacon was not yet cooked or even hot. It broke into 3 large pieces. The unit is not at all new. Does this sound normal? Did I do...

The same thing happened to my microwave this morning while heating a cup of water, which broke into 3 pieces too before the water hadnt even hot.
Maybe you have already solved your problem and I just share my experience.
I am trying to call the manufacturer nearby and ask for the turntable, but I am afraid the new turntable dosent fit my a little bit old microwave.

Jbl radial dock connector broken

I have the same problem, but I got round it instantly by plugging my ipod into the speaker via the headphone port on the ipod and into the audio port on the speaker. The speaker came with a spare lead as you can plug any music player into it this way. The sound quality seems exactly the same and I dont have to throw away the speakers, hooray! If you have lost the lead you need a 3.5 mm male to male headphone lead, just pence in any electrical shop or amazon!

Can't open/disassemble Altec Lansing im310

There is only four visible screws on the outside of the unit, which are the ones that everyone's found already.  Two are in the battery compartment, two in the storage compartment.  However I managed to find the location of the other TEN!  You need to take off the screens on top of the speaker.  The safe way I managed to do it was by using a very small flathead screwdriver and I would start at the bottom and work my way to the top on the outside edge of the speaker grill, just putting it between the grill and the plastic and turning the screwdriver up a little and inwards.
Once that's off you'll see four screws around the outside of each speaker and an additional screw sunk in above each speaker.  Once the screws are off, slowly just start to wiggle the two sides apart.  They're together tight, so just be patient and work it open slowly.
I should also mention that the ends of these speakers (that the seam doesn't seem to continue on) is actually a thin piece of plastic on each side and is stuck on with really sticky double-sided tape of some sort or rubber cement, something like that.  If you're careful, you can pull these off (slowly, once again).  It'll make pulling the two sides apart a LOT easier.
Hope this helps!

Flashing Lights and No Sound

I am 100% sure the battery is dead.
Opening my mm50 I find that the small 2"X 1/4" battery is attached to the back, very near the charging socket. The battery is connected to the circuit board through a small plug-socket arrangement - no soldering here like iPod. So, it would not be difficult to replace it by a DIY enthusiast. But it would be difficult to find this non-standard replacement battery. Better leave the job to Logitech service, they'd would certainly replace it on charge basis.
