First wash it to remove any grit, then use white rubbing compound to rub it out. If white isn't working you can add some red compound to it. For severe oxidation you can use red by itself. Follow the directions on the can and be very careful on any surfaces with a sharp bend as the paint tends to be thinner there. Don't forget...compound is pretty much fine sandpaper in a paste form and you can easily remove paint all the way down to the primer if you aren't careful. Use a good quality wax after re-washing to get the compound off.
Use a scratch removing polish polishes and shines have to do small area at a time ,but brings paint up nicely
