I am trying to install a logitech nano cordless laser for but it does not seem to be functioning. I've installed all the software and restarted the computer numerous times and still no mouse activity. My computer mouse pad still is the primary pointing device. Any ideas?

I contacted Logitech and registered a problem with them and they are working on it now. I did not realize that your site required a fee for advice and I'm sorry for bothering you. Thanks anyway.

Hi Welcome to FixYa!
1)Are you the only one who is using the computer? If not, be sure that you are or you have Administrator rights to install anything on the computer. Because if your account is only a standard user type, you dont have privileges of installing any software or device on the computer.
2)If you are the Administrator of the computer, try to right click on the installation file and select Run as Administrator and see if this will work
3)Check also your security softwares installed on the computer. (e.g Antivirus Softwares) If you have them installed, try to disable them first and run the installation file for your webcam
4)If it still doesnt work, do a clean boot on the computer. You could do this by going to the System Configuration Utility. (type msconfig on the searchbox to access this utility) -you should be seeing something like this: mondimondz_2.gif -once you have a window like this, go to the startup tab>click on disable all>click on apply, then go to the Services tab>put a check on the Hide all Microsoft Srvices option>then click on disable all>then click OK -it will now prompt you to restart the computer -once you get back to Windows, try now to reinstall the software for your webcam
5)if all else fails, your last option is reinstalling Vista on your computer.
Hope this would be a big help!

Dear sir,

Welcome to once again Fixya support

According your problem it seems to be your try to install faulty Network card. So better is check with new good card.another possibility is some time pci slots fail to recognise a hardware, so try it with another pci slots of mother board.According to you onboard network card is dead, means motherboard fails to work when connect to a network, after successfull installation of network card also the possibility of motheboard not allow you to work with new network card ,same situation may arise,i am also managed same problems in several customer place while working as an computer hardware engineer. So try with new network card it may solve your problem

good luck

No instruction manual

It's easy. Plug in the usb dongle, plug in the power for the dock, put the mouse on it and let it charge fully and then use it. If you want to use the advanced buttons on it, go to the logitech web site, download the driver for your operating system and install it. At that point you will have a control to set it up in the way you want it to work, but right out of the box it will work like any other mouse.

Can't get acer desktop to recognize logitech cordless mouse

Yes, you need to install the Logitech transmitter for your cordless mouse. The acer transmitter uses a different frequency. You could try pressing the connect button on both the existing transmitter and mouse but that's not likely to work with different manufacturers.

My logitech mouse died. It is a cordless add on for my lap top. Help!

Have you changed/charged the batteries?

Re-install the drivers and software (it comes in a CD).
Or look for your model on the Logitech website.
Click on Drivers. choose your model (usually on the receiver)
Download the drivers for your version of Windows (XP, Vista).
run the program.

Have you uninstalled it and then reinstalled it? Try downloading the most recent version software online. If you can't download the software, you might have other issues!
