CASIO ms-7TV Hi, just wondering if you can help me. We have two casio MS-7TV calculators at our office... some of the settings must be wrong but we can't figure out how to change them. We've got the tax set right, but when we try to do a calculation adding or subtracting an percent (not using the tax button) the calculation is wrong (ie. 66 + 50% it comes up with 132 OR if I go 66 + 100% it comes up with 0 and the E sign on the left side.) Help!? We use the percent button alot in our office...how can I fix this?

To change the task number you must press and hold % (rate set) for 3 to 5 seconds, should appear tax XX %, now type your tax number and press % again and AC. To test type "100" press TAX + and the result should be 110, if your tax rate is 10% for example.

I had the same problem, so I read another casio manual, as I couldn't find one for this model and found this solution. Do the calculation like this 66 x 50 % + or 66 x 100 % +
As for changing the tax rate + - buttons, I have no idea.

    It's working when you add the % , but when you subtract the % , it's incorrect. 100 - 15% should be 85 and not 86.96

What is the Formula for calculating volume of a cylinder

volume is calculated by finding the area multiplied by the length or height . That is Pi X radius squared X length
example --tube 6"dia 12"long what is the volume?
Example 3.1417 X radius 3" Squared =3.1417X9sq " = 28.2740sq" X length 12" =338.688 cubic"
If you want the volume of an engine cylinder , it is the same formula and the length is the stroke of the piston ( distance from TDC to BDC )

The circumference of a circle is 47.1 feet. What is the diameter of the circle?

The circumference of a circle is C=2 * pi * r or C= pi * d.

What do we know? C=47.1 and pi.

What are we trying to calculate? d

Put what we know in the equation and solve for d.

47.1 = pi * d

To isolate d, we have to divide both sides by pi.

47.1
------ = d
pi

I get 14.99' or approximately 15' as the diameter.

Good luck,
Paul
