Brownsuga7 my lexmark jetprinter x1185 will not scan or copy. what do i need to do?

Hello Barbhinkins,
Please find the vista driver for this printer at this link. Follow the instructions to install properly.

Hopefully this file will also have driver for scanner.

Can not copy or scan


Uninstall all the lexmark software using the add/remove programs. Reinstall the software. make sure the printer is not connected to the computer when doing this. The wizard will tell you when to attach the printer.

Despite Apple advertising,
Macs dont plug n play with very much
they need drivers,
Lexmark are pretty good with support software

hi I have lexmarkx1185 and it was working but i changed my software now it doesn,t work and i don,t have the software cd for my printer could you help me please

Lexmark X1185 won't scan.


I believe you have to push the scan button in order for it to scan and save. The copy buttons will only print either a black copy or a color copy.
