Magnet does not affect the LCD panel like the CRT monitor because LCD dose not use electron beams for display function.
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). if it says that it is a grounding wire then ground it

Yes, if this problem during these days it could be one reason the rainy days, but it also could be possible that your monitor's picture tube is weak and create problem.

there is a slot behind the screen when you push open the screen should drop down. put the cd into that slot when you do the screen will go back up. push open again the screen will drop and your cd will eject automatically.

Im guessing its a break in the cord where it goes in by the switch

1. Main filter capacitor 220mf / 420v problem.

2. There is any U P S or Speaker boxs near to monitor.

3. Electrical distabence.

4. PTC problem.

make sure the lcd monitor is connected to a voltage regulator because if your electricity is fluctuating then that might be a cause of the flickering of the monitor. make sure also that the video card of your operating system is configured properly and the drivers are working fine.
