It is a much older style washing machine. I put a load of clothes in then went to switch the load and i realized that they were soaking wet. The spin is not working.

Check the spin belt and the relay that engages it. Also make sure that your time is going to the spin cycle and not stopping short of it. If your machine has a two speed motor which goes into high speed for the spin, this might be defective.

Why did my washing machine stop spinning?

Not knowing the age or model of your washer it's hard to say but if it is the older direct drive then it's a bad lid switch!

It doesn't spin dry the clothes like it use to. Although there is no water in the tub at the end of the cycle the cloths are quite wet

if the clothes are soaking wet, the tub isn't spinning. Have you stood at the machine and listened for the spin? solution may be as simple as a broken interlock switch. Let me know.

Whirpool Duet Was. WFW9400SZ01--Spin cycle leaves clothes soaked.

the problem is your spin program is normal but the machine could not do its job usually there is broken pin clucth under the spinning tube and sometimes the spin gear.this is due to overlload problem. you should brought the machine to your trusted machine repairer as this cost you around US 100-200 in comparison if you buy new one

LG front load washer/ clothes still wet after final spin

The heavy jacket prevented the washer from spinning at a rapid pace, so I added a heavy bathrobe to absorb some of the water and to balance the load. The washer then spun very quickly and drained out all the water.
