My xbox's video is not working, the sound works, ive tried diffent TVs but still does NOT WORK!!!!

is this a brand new console? check the switch on the video cable

if you tried multiple tvs than it has to be your cable. try replacing the cable the a/v sound cable is probally broken.

Try switching the Av cables. Check to see if yours has the HDTV/TV switch. If it does move it to either HDTV or TV.

make sure the hd switch is not turned on on the video cable that connects to the xbox, it is a small black switch

to start off,what type of cable are you using??
since you've already tried using 2diff TVs,basically its with the console

try using a different AV CABLES, if it still doesnt work,try calling xbox support hotline for possible replacement of your cable or for processing a repair for the xbox if necessary..

since you just bought your console,try going back to the store where you bought it and have it replaced, because for the repalcement of the cable if you call xbox support,it will take 8-12business days for toureceive it and 2-3weeks for the turn around time of the repair for the xbox.

ther is a switch on the cords on the end of that plugs in your xbox it has TV--HDTV make sur that the switch is but on TV

Is there a game in the console when you start it up? If so, take the game out then retry it..


If not.. Then you're going to have to have this console repaired. I suggest 2 options.. Contact the https://www.newcorp.com/ for an extended warranty to have it repaired or search online for reflowing XBOX VGA Chip.

This happened to my first 360, and in my case, it was a hardware failure. You can call Microsoft and hope your warranty is still good, and they'll fix it free of charge, but if its not, then you have to pay a fee.

Try to find a frind with an xbox and ask to see if you can borrow there cables for like a day.see if those cables work. if they do that means you have to go and buy new cables and if it still doesent work try a diffent tv. if that still doesent work then you have to probably send it back. i took my faceplate off and i think that voids the warrenty.

It's a problem with the hardware. It's sad because most people cannot fix these from home. To avoid destroying your system, I recommend you take it back to the retailer and get it refurbished. If you're warranty is still active.
