I have a kenwood toaster it keeps popping up every 2seconds or less what could be wrong

try cleaning the toaster but uplugg it first, maybe there are crumbs stuck in the toaster that wont let the bread toast

May have fuse blown, check fuses. Antenna may be disconnected.
Radio wiring may have come loose on back of stereo. Check all.

I would say you have a short in the heating element or the cord.

The 'click' sound indicates that the pop up mechanism is most likely intact. The problem of not popping up is most certainly caused by a worn or broken or disconnected spring which forces the toast to pop up once it's done.
You will need to take the toaster apart and look for the mechanism which pops the toaster up (look for the mechanism attached to the tray in which the toast lies). There should be a spring, or remnants of a spring, which should be fairly easily replaceable with a similar spring. This should be readily available from your local appliance spares store.

One of the heating element is broken and the heating wire which have live electricity is touching the body of the toaster and thus the poppong of the breaker. So you can use this link and check which is the broken heating element . You can buy one or more heating element from ebay there are only two kinds CENTER and END which you have choose from, they will aslo supply aslo replaceing instructions.

you got short in the curcuit

why do you think cancel button is broken , is it stuck ? if not you gave a bad control board . so recheck the button , and pick at it to pop back to normal . if you need a board your out of luck , no parts are made for toasters anymore . its a toss it and get a new one world . if you get 4 years out of todays toasters your doing good Please if this answer helped , please rate this 3 or 4 stars . and keep me in the paid answer department . your toaster is working correctly if both are off you are in BAGEL/BUN mode ( did i spell that wrong ? ) in that mode it will only toast the cut side .... YES .westinghouse used a clock timer to time all of there toasters in the 40s and 50s . remove the push down knob (there is a set screw under it) and the 4 screws under the toaster . the top will come off inside next to the push down lever there is a little clock timer . a drop of oil on the moveing parts of the timer will get it ticking again .....test your work by pushing down the lever stem (with it unpluged ) it should pop up when it times out . puting back on the top can be a pain but it does go back but at some point you may wonder ! with all toasters put down a towel before working on one to keep from scraching the mirror finish ......Please if this answer helped , please rate this 3 or 4 stars . and keep me in the paid answer department .
