I have a emachine desk top and when i connect to internet sometimes its really fast other times it drags and drags I have CABLE my processor seemd to go slow like as slow as windows 3.1 I have xp home with suppose to be a 1.5 gig processor but dont think it is.goes to slow

Also, you may be experiencing CPU throttling; when the CPU detects it is not used much, it lowers its core speed. CPU-Z will show you the current, on-demand speed. If you find that it is below the 1.5ghz speed, let us know.

Hmm... CPU-Z says that it's a 1000MHZ (1 GHZ) CPU. That's odd Also it says it's running currently at 746 MHZ, but that might be a biproduct of throttling. What do you mainly use your computer for? You may want to consider Ubuntu Linux. (A free Operating system that runs really fast) Also could you post the URL to your CPU-Z page?
