What you want to do is contact Polaroid Customer Support and tell them the situation and they will give you a factory default code for the v-chip. The Polariod C.S. # is 1-800-605-5364. They should be able to help you without any problems. Hope this helps...

WARNING: Before you start troubleshooting remember that you are dealing with electricity that can KILL.
http://www.kitchentablecomputers.com/static.php - rules

Only work inside the computer case when the power has been switched off and disconnected. Never open the power source.

Power down the system and disconnect the power cord.
Wear an anti-static wrist strap to avoid electrostatic discharge damage to the Asus motherboard or CMOS chip or other sensitive components.

Remove the cover and locate the CMOS coin cell battery and remove it from the system by gently pushing on the retaining clip and popping the battery out although on some motherboards cmos batteries are soldered in

Discharge the CMOS chip by leaving the battery out of the system for up to an hour, depending upon the particular chip and motherboard combination.

Replace the battery and replace the cover on the system. Connect the power cord and boot the computer.

Save changes if prompted by the BIOS for system memory, drives detected, and other settings, and set the date and time if prompted at this time, or alternately set the date and time when the operating system finishes loading.
If your computer does not have a CMOS battery or you're unable to find it you'll need to do a hard reset on the CMOS using a jumper or dip switch on the motherboard.Information on finding these can be found through your computer or motherboard documentation.
or you might set failsafe or optimised defaults
Restart your computer
During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup usually the Delete or F2 key
this will vary depending on your computer and operating system

Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS using the arrow keys load failsafe defaultsor load optimized defaults press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart

Toshiba satellite not opening after i cleaned the cooling fan.

Did you take the Heat Sink off that is over the CPU? If so you probably need to apply a fresh coat of Thermal Paste.

Remove the Power Cord, Remove the memory cover and remove one of thememory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x onit with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the nextmemory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set itaside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If itboots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and putit into the open memory chip slot and try booting.

I am presuming you want to reset all the systems settings to the factory defaults. Try this:

Clearing memory
You can selectively clear information stored in your machine's memory.
1 Press Menu until Maintenance appears on the top line of the display.
2 Press the scroll button ( or ) until Clear Settings appears and press OK.
3 Press the scroll button ( or ) to select the item you want to clear.
• Paper Setting: Resets all of the Paper Setting options to the factory default.
• Copy Setup: Resets all of the Copy Setup options to the factory default.
• All Settings: Resets all of your settings to the factory default.
• Machine Setup: Resets all of the system settings, such as the display language and save
mode, to the factory default.
4 Press OK to confirm clearing. The selected setting is cleared.
5 Repeat steps 3 through 4 to clear another setting.
6 Press Stop/Clear to return to Standby mode.
