No, unless you are receiving over cable or satellite. You will need a DTV converter box if you are using an antenna to receive Over The Air television signals. The Proscan has an analog only tuner, so the ATSC (digital) signals will not be visible.

Does the GE 35GT740 model have a digital tuner?

As far as I know, this set DOES NOT have the required tuner capability. Please note that the changeover only effects those using rabbit ears or a rooftop antenna. If you have cable or satelite, no change will be seen. The change over is from an analog broadcast signal to a digital one. Your set has a digital tuner that expects an analog input signal.

Hope this helps,
Dan

Is this tv set up for the digital switch in Feb.

If the TV was manufactured in 1993, it is NOT ready for the digital switch. If you have cable or satellite, you don't need to do anything because the cable or satellite box will do the swith for you. If you are using an outside antenna (rabbit ears) you will need to get a converter box. Hope this answers your question

No this set isn't. I think you'll need a converter box. This is classed as an analog TV.

Yes , this will switch the digital back to anolog so your set will still receive your channels . The cutoff date is Feb. 19th 2009 so you have alittle time left. The boxes will avg. between $50 to $190 or more depending on what you what the box to do . Also there are coupons available from the goverment for rebates that will give you $40.00 off the purchase price , go to your post office for more info . Good luck
