There is a file that needs to be downloaded to the Pioneer using the Software Update facility. You can get this file from your Pioneer dealer. After this, you will need to play with your device until you get the BT Audio to connect properly, then connect the Telephone. I spent about an hour trying this and then I was successful. My Nokia E71 now connects when I start the car on both the BT Audio and Telelphone connections without continually disconnecting.

This is a problem with the Pioneer head unit as said by ninja69.
You need to go to www.pioneer.eu
go into car entertainment
Head units
Select the P800BT unit
click on the support tab
Download the firmware software update file (nokia-A.jpg) to your computer
There are instructions in a pdf format on that page aswell but basically you need to copy the .jpg file to your mobile phone.
Then back at the car turn accessories on and press and hold source button to turn head unit off. Then press and hold the multifunction button to get into the initial setup menu. Turn wheel to select software update. It then says it's ready or something like that. From your phone, send the nokia-a.jpg file to the head unit via blue tooth. Head unit should say it is downloading, completed. Turn on head unit. Delete previous paring for your phone. Then create a new paring but this time select the nokia-a instead of the nokia from the menu and your done
Should work fine. I have a N95-3 and this fixed the problem, still couldn't download phone book, but you can send important numbers to unit using businesscards via bluetooth.

Hi,

Can't keep bluetooth connected from my motorola w385 to my Blackberry curve

this is normal behaviour. it looks like it disconnects, but in fact it transfers your phonebook. afterwards (when you see on the avic display that all entries are transferred) you need to set your phone's bluetooth setting to "handsfree profile". then it connects again

Pioneer DEH-P700BT and Nokia N95

Yay! I got it working!
I can
Looks like pioneer recently released an update even though its not on the pioneer australia website. You can get it from:
http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/content/support/support/update/deh_bt_update.html
This works for the DEH-P7050BT as well, even though it doesn’t say it.
Weird how they do an update in a jpg file, but it works icon_biggrin.gif
Basically it adds another “group” called Nokia-A… This let’s both the headset and the car kit connect at the same time.
The contacts sync too… this worked for me before all this madness btw.
You have to click yes to transfer contacts, then the phone “disconnects”. On the phone you then go to your contacts menu, and select the contacts you want across. Then send these via bluetooth to the head unit.
Once done it didn’t really have an obvious way out of the menu, so I just turned the car off, but you can probably just press source or something.
When I turned it back on after syncing, it didn’t sync up automatically, so obviously on the phone I just told it the head unit was an authorised device.
Bingo I am happy.
I hope this helps someone else who was about to throw both the deck and the E51 out the friggen window… FYI this apparently fixes all the latest Nokia N and E series phones too.
