We just figured this out ourselves. There are four (4) screws on the back of each fan that when undone it releases the grill for cleaning. But the fun part is getting the screws back in to the little holes. But all in all we got it clean...

- We also just figured out that when putting the grill back on the screw holes must all line up together. line one up then slowly turn the face plate (grill) until all are lined. It almost seems like a lock and then the screws easily go into place.

I used tweezers to put the screws back into place..... Also...the screws are on the back of each fan head between the back grills....it's hard to see...but after CLOSE inspection you'll see them.
Wash the front grills in the sink, dry and put back into place. I wiped the fan blades and used my dyson to clean the back grills. Looks like new.

My Lakewood 792/JR simply stopped working. I opened it up, cleaned out most of the accumulated fuzz, and used the multimeter to find out how far juice was getting - where it stopped. I found that juice is not getting across a 'resistor' sort of device that jumps across two of the heater coil spacer legs. I need to know what this device really is, its value, and where I might find a replacement. I will solder it in place myself - that will probably fix the problem. Thanks!

My apt. is next to the water heater for our 6-unit bldg. About 3.5 weeks ago I started to hear a high-pitched ringing noise in my bedroom. Within a week this noise was audible throughout the entire apt. It is loudest at night--I think because this is after the most water has been used throughout the day--but is audible the entire day and night. Maintenance came and turned off the motor and the noise stopped. Obviously can't leave the pump off. They don't know what to do. And the noise the heater is making, although it's the same, isn't as loud as the noise in the apartment. Any suggestions? Flush the tank? Anything else?
