Need a wiring diagram for a briggs and stratton model 402707 type 136 01 twin cyl

This is an opposed twin, correct?
Just wondering because I have a 19.5 opposed twin(Same exact motor, just badged differently)
I could possibly snap a few pictures for you, if that would be of any help!
Mine is on a craftsman lawn tractor though.
from memory there two wire connectors at the from of my motor One two prong connector(with red and black wires), and a one prong connector(with a black wire)
The red and black is your stattor(I know for sure), the other wire i believe is just for all the safety switches, Ill have to check that out sometime tomorrow, to find out for sure!

Have a Husqvarna model 968999102 walk behind mower. having to change engines and putting on a Kohler with a starter. I need to know how to wire up the starter since the old engine did not have one. I have...

The starter should have two wires, a power and a ground. The power you can splice to the power wire coming from the battery. The other wire needs to be grounded to a bare metal part. Usually just installing it under an existing bolt works fine. Just be sure to clean the spot with a wire brush and a rag so it gets a good clean connection.

Turn key to run and nothing happens pops fuse

Those safety switches you mention above is a good first place to look. Possibly the magnetic switch that makes connection with the battery and the starter needs replaced. When you jumped the starter to turn the motor over did you have the key turned to ignition? No spark can come from a low oil shutdown switch located somewhere on the lower part of the engine (either low oil or bad switch), if the key was on. The switch can be bypassed to test its condition. Keep us posted.

No power

I was having the same problem. I took the whole thing apart. It was the motor brushes and the handle switch. Check out and type in your mower model number. You can see the diagram and order the parts you need. Mine were less than $20. It's really easy to take this mower apart.
